Joey, Jacqui and Archie

The Dog Workshop was founded by nationally accredited dog trainer Jacqui Triggs.

Adopting Archie, with his “unique” personality, turned Jacqui’s world upside down, not to mention the house and the impact it had on the existing family dog (Joey). How could something so small cause so much chaos? So she dived headfirst into the world of dog behaviour to find out what was going on and what she could do about it. This happened to coincide with a major decision to change careers and Jacqui decided she wanted to share what she had learned to help others. She has been doing just that since early 2014. Jacqui holds national accreditation through the National Dog Trainers Federation and is a professional member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP) and Professional Dog Trainers of Australia (PDTA).

The career she left behind consisted of more than 20 years working in the public sector, where she developed a broad range of skills in leadership, communication, reporting and accountability, policy evaluation and development, community engagement, and event management, all of which she has found to be invaluable working in the companion animal industry.

Jacqui is passionate about helping owners to better understand and communicate with their dogs in order to bring harmony to households and to build better relationships through mutual trust and respect.

Jacqui covers east, west and central Adelaide.

Jacqui is not currently taking on any new training and behaviour clients.
